For all you parents out there, note that there are no warning labels on queen size beds or mattresses.
But there should be. They should read
"Warning: Jumping on beds may result in injury or death" or "Warning: Jumping on beds has resulted in serious injury"
Silas' fun and games landed him a trip to Children's ER, a splint, and a trip to see an orthopedist next Tuesday. Both bones in his arm are broken just above the wrist.
He's doing just fine. He was mad at everyone at the hospital, but I think it had partly to do with his not being allowed to run up and down the halls. In the frenzy of deciding he needed x-rays, we forgot to bring his shoes. He's been busy enough since we got home though. Except for the angry yelling because he can't get up as easily when he falls down and the HUGE thing on his arm, you would never know anything was wrong.

poor silas...he needs another kiss...smakkk!(kisses work miracles in our home.)
I can't believe he broke his arm. I am sure that has been hard and frustrating. I am sure it will happen to most of us. At some time our sweet baby will get seriously hurt. Kiss his boo boo for me.
Bob Loblaw... hmm, perhaps he's related to that sinister Bob Diwali.
Wow i broke my arm in two places rihgt above the wriste.Poor boy. i bet Nana would be the most upset of all!
wow! ive never even broken my arm before... i guess thats what boys do though - get hurt all the time..
Deb and I always thought it miraculous that Joel didn't break any bones growing up... we're sad Silas was unable to follow his dad's footsteps in that area, but glad he's coping well.
And, for those of us unfamilar with the name - who is Bob Loblaw? I'm assuming he's a lawyer. Which begs the question - why didn't Uncle Butt, the lawyer, get the $400,000 you deserved??
Home from Africa - I'm now officially stalling before I get back to work for the first day... heavy sigh!
pops, Bob Loblaw is the lawyer from the 3rd and final season of arrested development. say it real fast.
you might even try to find bob loblaw's law blog although you'll be disappointed to know that there exists in real life a "robert loblaw law blog" which is not nearly as entertaining as it could've been.
and the reason that matt didn't get us the $400k is because matt isn't played by scott baio of "charles in charge" fame. i thought that was obvious.
