Silas and I got back from Dallas last night. It was our most exteneded trip without Joel and we really missed him! We had a great time with friends and did a lot of things that we did while we lived in Dallas such as:
sit in traffic
eat tomato-basil soup at leMadeleine
browse Williams-Sonoma and window shop at North Park Mall
buy Tums at Super Walmart
enjoy God-given friendships at a mini-playgroup
The pictures are taken at Andrea's on our way back. We had a great time playing in the playroom with Abbie, Anabelle and Ava. Anabelle is very generous in making coffee and strawberry drinks. Stay tuned for a picture of Silas and friends at an icecream shop in Dallas...

I think the top picture needs a bit of explanation.
Who is this young woman in a choir robe? Is that a foot coming out the neck? What is going on here?
Well, M. Lumpkin, that's Abbie. She's trying on one of Ava's dresses that Ava gave to Mabel, the stuffed cow from Hobby Lobby. Anabelle and I agreed it was more Mabel's size than Abbie's and more Mabel's style than Ava's.
Oh, um, I think theres some confusion. The dress belongs to Big Cow Bovina. She's actually from wal-mart. We have another smaller cow (possibly a hippo- we're not really sure) named Maud who is from hobby lobby. We don't have any cows named Mabel.
So Ava gave one of her own dresses to Big Cow Bovina- Could we call her Bovina for short? Then Abbie took it?
that still doesnt explain the foot sticking out off the arms sleive...
Ann, sorry for the misinformation. In the moment that I spilled Anabelle's pretend strawberry juice on Abbie's blanket, I must have been distracted. Em- no Abbie didn't take the dress. For some reason, Big Cow Bovina wasn't wearing anything. Most of the stuffed animals were naked so we didn't think much of it. Abbie picked up the dress and asked who it belonged to. That's when I spilled the pretend strawberry juice. After I cleaned it up, I suggested that Abbie try it on. Andrea came to see why I was taking a picture and that's when we found out that the dress was actually given to Ava but Ava never wore it.
Sasa, there is no foot coming out of the dress. That is Abbie's hand. She couldn't fit it all the way through the sleve.
